A g-Eclipse success story - The aerospace application

By KEN MEACHAM
A screencast is now available, demonstrating how g-Eclipse has been
used in the aerospace sector to author, deploy and execute an
engineering workflow, based on the FLITE3D application suite from
BAE Systems. The FLITE3D components have previously been deployed as GRIA applications on their GRIA Job Service.
The workflow consists of a FLITE3D-ST job, followed by a conversion step
into VTK format. The workflow is authored using the g-Eclipse workflow
editor, incorporating JSDL job definitions for each step, then translated into XScufl format and deployed onto BAE's GRIA Job Service, using the GRIA Workflow Deployer Application.
The newly deployed ST-VTK application (workflow) is discovered by g-Eclipse, and a new JSDL job created for this and executed via the GRIA middleware plugin.
The final results are visualised in g-Eclipse, using the VTK plugin.
